Moose Sketch

The painting has begun. The sky is a mixture of Manganese Blue, Pthalo Blue and Cerulean Blue. The photo was taken inside under warm/cool fluorescent lights so it is showing more blue. The moose is a mixture of Pthalo Blue, French Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Sienna, Indian Red, and Raw Sienna. Mixing the colors for the moose one can shift the color by adding a touch more red or more green or more blue to the gray mixture.
Quick moose sketch on 11" x 15" 140lb. watercolor paper. I had to use Photoshop to darken it enough to show in a photo. Even more of the pencil lines wil be lifted so they are barely noticeable through the watercolor. The reference photo is from the public domain of Fish & Wildlife.
