I painted over the value study I posted earlier today, using Cobalt Blue, Pthalo Blue, Quin. Violet, Quin. Gold, Quin. Burnt Orange. As mentioned in the earlier post, the reference photo used was taken by yabby from the Wet Canvas Photo Reference Library. My thanks to Mollie Jones for the suggestion to add color to the value study.

beautiful colors and a very nice painting
Hey Ann...you know I just love this one. Hope you'll try this technique again as it does just sing with all those dark values going on.
Lovely painting...
It does look great Ann, good work painting over the value study
I love the white on white. It is hard to achieve. Thank you, Irina

This is so well painted, loved the value study underpainting for it and glad you added the colors.
I like what you've captured here. Makes me want some Italian food! YUM!
Blessings!
You're very brilliant at watercolor, and it is a total inspiration for me! Watercolor is definitely my favorite medium. (:
Thanks all of you. It is so great to read your comments knowing it takes time away from your own work.
Mollie, I will definitely give this another try. Thanks again for sharing this with us.
