I like this pear! I like the crispness of the top of the pear (neck up) you posted on the 20th, but I like the softness and more finished look of the bottom of the pear you posted today. On the other hand, I like the surface the pear is sitting on in the post today the best and the wall of the one you posted on the 20th.
In this latest I like your table the pear is sitting on and it does look more grounded. I think I like the leaves in the first one and the shadow on the wall. I don't think you over worked it at all just gave it a change. Oh the greens are beautiful in this new one.

I think next time, instead of reworking I'll just paint another one. I liked the gestural look of the pear in the original while the reworked pear has a more formal look.

I like the re-work! Though that may be because your re-work is more of the style painting I like.
