Pears Rework

I reworked or should I say overworked the pears this morning.  I lost some of the freshness that I liked. So what do you think, an improvement or not?

It's impossible to say. Ann, they are both unique.

Hi Ann!

I like this pear! I like the crispness of the top of the pear (neck up) you posted on the 20th, but I like the softness and more finished look of the bottom of the pear you posted today. On the other hand, I like the surface the pear is sitting on in the post today the best and the wall of the one you posted on the 20th.

Great job though!

In this latest I like your table the pear is sitting on and it does look more grounded. I think I like the leaves in the first one and the shadow on the wall. I don't think you over worked it at all just gave it a change. Oh the greens are beautiful in this new one.

I like the re-work! Though that may be because your re-work is more of the style painting I like.

thanks all of you for taking time to look at the blog, and commenting as well.

I think next time, instead of reworking I'll just paint another one. I liked the gestural look of the pear in the original while the reworked pear has a more formal look.
