Flower Study
The goal for this study was to have lost and found edges with loose looking brushwork and leaving whites. I wanted at least three values with strong darks to bring out the feeling of light.
You achieved your goal! Those are all things I should keep in mind too--I find I often neglect to leave whites, but I like them so much, find them so characteristic of watercolor paintings.
This is a great reminder for me, Ann. I have been so busy I feel I do not know anything for sure anymore so good to get a reminder of solid foundations. The end result is really sensitive and lovely.

You achieved the values there Ann. Lovely painting with lost and found edges too.

Great success on this lovely painting. How are you feeling, Ann?
